Land of the Red Hots

Tis true that this is one of the best hot dog places on earth, perhaps explaining the heavy weight city title.
I don't think I ate this much while touring Italy. Last night we went to Billy Goats- one of the oldest Chicago Newspaper hangouts. The Bar/Diner is hidden under the city and looks untainted by the passing of decades. Mostly people know Billgoats from the infamous Saturday Night Live skit mocking it...cheezeborger cheezeborger-no Pepsi--COKE. My camera battery was dead- so the layers of grease and history will have to remain in my mind.

Sometimes pictures are better than words- and since these past four days have been quite an amazing blur- I will let them show why I think Chicago is an incredible city. (From the Green River Soda to the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier)
My favorite new discovery in the park downtown is the giant mirrored bean sculpture.

In the LOST house district where the oldest home from Chicago sits- we discovered this amazing mansion for sale. We went around the yard and noticed a coach house as well. This would make the best salon style bed and breakfast. It is directly across from the MArshall Fields Jr. mansion
Last night we time travelled to the 1990's Hard Rock Cafe style.
JAson got us onto the red carpet for the Blender Magazine party. It was straight out of scene at the Rainbow room...Dave Navarro and company on stage and strippers gallore.
This made me miss my L.A. Insert tongue in cheek now

this particular Fredericks of Hollywood babe was one step away from vomit
Well- by tonight I will be on a plane headed for the land of plastic ladies and palm trees. I can't wait.
Good bye Chicago- til next time
