All that goes through my head the entire time she is receiving her induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is "you're so cool, you're so cool, you are so cool." I felt anxious for her waiting in the wings to come out on stage. All the build up of her rebellion, her sweet face- passion- politics- waiting to receive her audience. She seemed so nervous speaking to the crowd. This brave woman who has put her fist in the air and protested-this ridiculous war-- seems almost shy and delicate. I remember being young and listening to her record, the song with kimberly, excited that my name was a part of it. I imagine it must feel really good to know you have created a legacy such as hers. "Because the night" her most radio friendly tune is really such a beautiful song. Congrats to her- and hopefully she influences a whole new wave of passionate songwriters
earlier today Mr. P went down to Hollywood for the Pro-Peace rally- carrying this sign he made at kinkos.
