For about seven years...the Show Pony has had it's share of interesting customers. None have been more interesting however, then Chinese lady with giant red visor.
She started shopping at the store a few years back, dragging her suitcase in with wheels and bags of Asian produce. Often she would inquire with shoppers about how much their clothes cost, only to told , "um...I don't work here, this isn't for sale." With which she would say ..."So how much you sell for?" "How much" "this fit me?"
Frustrated, the shoppers would nervously leave.
On occasion she would come in and try on every single thing in the shop. Usually she shows up right before closing and lingers for an extra hour.
Britt one time ended up selling her the purse right off her shoulder.
This past Wed. Britt arrived to work wearing her new rainbow knit top, excited about her purchase.
Hours later- around closing I entered the Show Pony to see Britt at the counter in a t-shirt and Red Visor wearing the rainbow knit. How did she scam that one? Britt just looked at me and shrugged her shoulders.
Persistance is key.
You just have to keep asking in broken English until the patience wears thin and the person surrenders the goods.
