The passing of the torch officially occurred this weekend over on the Echo Pk block. The Show Pony is proudly replaced by a new shop. Tavin, a new concept designer shop debuted this past Saturday. The store has a luxurious layered feel, with bell jars and branches, bohemian dresses and embroidered appliqued pillows and jewels. Erin Tavin used to be a stylist and costume designer and we joked about how we somehow traded places recently. She is often at the Rose Bowl with her dyed and re-worked vintage pieces, and now finally has a sweet home base.
The word on the street is that the Han Cholo space close by has also recently been rented and is going to be an art gallery/yerba matte spot. Wow.
It's nice to see that the creative boho energy is still being pumped through the building.
Here are some of the highlights from the new shop
lil Britzy- first time really seeing her since we closed the shop. We have both been so busy that we haven't seen much of eachother. It was a bittersweet moment standing outside the shop again.

Love the shop and that corner spiral staircase. I am imagining this location would work well as a setting in a fictional book.

I know you are happy your little shoppe has a new loving owner. We recently sold our beloved Mid-Cent mod Cliff May home to renovators(they are being true to the design!),but ...I can't wait for loving owners to live there!
