sunday BLOGGER sunday part deux

Hey kids, remember me?  Ok, hopefully someone out there still reads this blog even though I am a pathetic poster these days.  I am finally reaching a nice productive routine with my new job and hopefully the posting can resume in my evenings.  The lack of sleep and energy the past months has been intense to say the least, but I really love my job despite having to understand traffic flow patterns and extreme road rage.

On the plus side Miss Cynthia has resumed her intense job as well and now we joke that we are two friends who pass each other without even knowing on Melrose or the Grove or any other mall for that matter.

I have been dreaming the most insane work related dreams since taking this job.  I dream about matching outfits, finding resolutions to costume changes, discovering Barney's without any clothing to pull.  I wake up most often with clenched teeth and mumbling about what I think will look good with that belt.

This Sunday the people over at 1520 Cahuenga are having another FAB blogger designer/vintage extravaganza.  The last one was so much fun and such a hippie craft commune.

Rugs and ladies sprawled out.  Speaking of rugs...Urban Outfitters online website just posted a Georgie Boy looking rug- (persian cat heads hidden amongst flowers) and I am definitely getting one.

The passing of the torch officially occurred this weekend over on the Echo Pk block.  The Show Pony is proudly replaced by a new shop.  Tavin, a new concept designer shop debuted this past Saturday.  The store has a luxurious layered feel, with bell jars and branches, bohemian dresses and embroidered appliqued pillows and jewels.  Erin Tavin used to be a stylist and costume designer and we joked about how we somehow traded places recently.  She is often at the Rose Bowl with her dyed and re-worked vintage pieces, and now finally has a sweet home base.

The word on the street is that the Han Cholo space close by has also recently been rented and is going to be an art gallery/yerba matte spot.  Wow.

It's nice to see that the creative boho energy is still being pumped through the building.

I have been working on the new 90210 tv show.  I am officially a style consultant/costume girl but was recently asked to create a 6 foot X 5 ft painting to hang in the new malibu beach house belonging to Naomi (one of the main characters) on the show.  I had a limited time frame to create this two piece panel painting, but was pleased to see it hanging in this house dangling on the coast.  Check out the lux clouds and fab view!.

I am excited about the new season! New sets, dreamy lighting and photography, new characters added to the mix and obviously California's great culture, music and fashion!

guess where I'll be?

Hard to believe that it's been an entire month since the last Rose Bowl!  I have been working non stop with my new job and time has flown.  On my day off, I will be taking a quick (ha) trip to the Rose Bowl.  Hoping to meet up with some friends and take good pics of pretty things.

I have a HUGE mega update with visuals for my absence on the blog and will be doing that sometime later today.  I am weary and missing posting, but L O V E my new job.
