My hubby's band CHELAN just released their new album today! The music is the result of a beautiful collaboration between two old friends and bandmates who really compliment each other. Singer Jen Grady came to visit us in Joshua Tree where they spent countless nights working out lyrics, vocals and ideas. I have always been fascinated by people who can sing lovely yet haunting narratives. This music makes me feel like I am letting go of something and taking off on a big adventure. You can always sense the difference when people are really invested in their music, and something about the magical desert energy and perhaps the starry nights seem to have inspired this new record. You can check out the website at CHELAN music, or go HERE to listen to CHELAN album
Gorgeous. I love their sound and the simplistic album cover

I just did a brief write up on them for The Owl Magazine; definitely a cool dreaminess to it all. "Sunrise" and "Checked In" are my two favs on the album.
