What is it about the stars (celebrities that is) that makes normal people react so crazy? Why is it that we must document the encounter with photo proof in order for it to have happened? I'm guilty of this strange behaviour. I remember getting backstage at a Rick Springfield show years ago and pulling my camera out the minute I made it to the dressing room. It was like I was already telling the story the next day before I left. I mean if you travel to see the Grand Canyon- and stand in awe at its vast splendor, do you have to have yourself in a picture next to it to prove you were really there? If someone had never told you the Mona Lisa was one of the most valuable paintings in a museum would you still think it so great?
I'm not sure of my point only that everyone seems to get silly when next to an aging celeb....even if they are wheelchair bound.
This is Fayard Nichols- dancing legend who tapped on the same stage as Bob Hope and others! He passed away shortly after this photo was taken.
This is the original Bond GIRL Goldfinger----
The Hollywood Collector Celebrity shows are usually at some big Hotel Convention center where the rows of tables and made up actors sit under bad florescent lighting with headshots and other props from their movie /t.v. days. A part of you feels bad if you walk by and don't acknowledge them or want an autograph- and another part of you feels sad if you do . It reminds me of this time I went to the Ohio State FAir and paid money to see the smallest man alive. I walked up to this trailor and opened the door and this little man was just sitting there watching the COSBY show. I felt bad , like I had intruded on his personal time.
This is Greg with Butch- the biggest Bully ever... from the Little Rascals -OUR GANG. He was really sweet. He also passed away shortly after this photo was taken.
this is the gentle Giant JAWS from the Bond flicks.
The average Collector show fan-
Cynthia dancing next to Adam Brody... at the Lucky party
It took a bit of coaxing, but Cynthia got the Fonz to say AYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
This is perhaps why there are two types of people in this world: Those that are "on" T.V. and those that "watch" T.V.
This is David Carradine taking off his shirt at the Collectors show. I think he may have been trying to prove that he's still got it and can kick your ass too
this is the poster Greg bought to have Mr. CArradine autograph. I think it cost about $35 dollars and the signature probably $10 and it's folded somewhere on a shelf.
The girl who played young Tabitha in Bewitched came over to Illeana at the show and said "Your more famous than anyone here" She still wanted her photo op with Mrs. Partridge.
this is our picture with the lady from LOST IN SPACE, Francine York. She told me all about her days filming with Elvis and how Aaron Spelling stole his idea for Charlies Angels from one of her roles.
this is me with Patty McCormick from the BAD SEED... awesome
this looks like such an exciting day, ive never heard of anything like that!
