master plaster

In 2004 I was featured in an art show at the EROTIC Museum here in L.A. with artists Chris Lindig, Richard Colemand and AXIS. The show was curated by photographer Carlos Batts. Recently he selected me as one of 8 artists chosen to paint on a plaster mold of his lady's (adult film star April Flores) LOVE TOY. The one night only show was held at La Luz de Jesus gallery in Los Feliz on May 13th.

April Flores is the first voluptuous BBW to be chosen to have a toy made of her anatomy. And the artists were asked to create one of kind creations using the plaster molds of April as the canvas.

I will admit I have painted on a lot of bizarre things in my past...from vacuums to tires but never on a lady's plaster privates. So here goes my X-rated blog post--

“Creative interpretations of the female anatomy are fundamental to art,” explains Carlos Batts, Curator. “Specifically, this project was inspired by the irony of Jeff Koons’ work and the playfulness of the Dunny movement, as well as by April herself.
